Catalac 10m (1984–1988)

The Evolution Begins

The Catalac 10m was a natural evolution of the 9m, introduced to address sailors’ desire for more interior space and improved windward performance. While retaining the safe and solid characteristics of the earlier models, the 10m began to show a slightly sleeker design, with refined underwater lines and improved cockpit ergonomics.

Key Features:

  • LOA: 10.2 metres (33.5 ft)
  • Beam: 4.9 metres (16 ft)
  • Shallow draft: ~0.8m
  • Twin diesels, often Yanmar
  • Full standing headroom throughout
  • Two heads compartments

Though fewer were built compared to the 9m, the 10mhas better performance under sail, and with its larger saloon and galley, it was much better suited to long-term cruising or live-aboard. It remains highly sought after on the second-hand market for those wanting a balance of Catalac sturdiness with a bit more space.
